Gracie's Canvas

This canvas was done for a sweet baby girl in our church named Gracie who was born this past spring. We matched the paint colors to Gracie's bedding - this is one of my favorites so far. We would love to paint a custom canvas for your next baby gift!

This is our "Frosty the Snowman" canvas. Frosty's ready for Christmas and cold weather with his cap and scarf, and he would look very festive on your front door!

Sweet Baby Girl Canvas

Here is another canvas for a precious baby girl named Ava Credille, and a three canvas painting for Ava's wall to match her crib bedding. These canvases will be at the open house Thursday night!

An Angel Appeared to Them . . .

Here's a photo of our latest canvas which is an Angel. The canvas has the Scripture reference of Luke 2:9 written around the outside edges. More Christmas canvases to come . . .

Christmas Time is Here!

Yes, I know Halloween isn't even here, yet, but I wanted to let you know that Silly Me! will be showing our creations at the Picture Perfect Open House in Tupelo, MS. The open house will be Thursday, November 6, 2008, from 4:00 8:00. Our canvases will be on display all day and you will be able to pick out and place an order for the canvas you like best. Karen, the owner of Picture Perfect, will have lots of other great gifts for that Christmas list, such as pottery, candles, crosses, etc. There will also be a drawing for a cool gift basket to be given away that night.

Here is an example of one of the fun Christmas canvases we have in store for you that day. Don't miss it!

The Greatest of These . . .

Check out our latest efforts - these are three canvases Angie and I did for me to keep for my very own! I have seen the "live, laugh and love" phrase everywhere, but I wanted to put a twist on it and use the Corinthians' scripture of "faith, hope and love."

Women's Conference Table

Here is a table that Angie and I decorated for the women's conference at our church this weekend. We took a sisterhood theme and used fall decorations to decorate the table. Notice the small canvases we painted for take-home favors for the ladies who sat at our table.

All the tables were beautiful with some really great china and pottery used by the women who decorated the tables. We really enjoyed this project and hope the conference was a blessing to the ladies in attendance!

Latest Canvases

We haven't posted in awhile - it's been a busy couple of back-to-school months for us! Here are a couple of our latest canvases - a cross canvas and a flower/paisley canvas for a dear friend, Kimberly Estes. Hope you're enjoying it Kimberly!

New Projects

It's been awhile since we have posted anything - the summer has been very busy!

Here we have photos of our latest projects - a family tree canvas and another couple of door hangers. We will also be putting up a photo of a new cross canvas very soon. Be sure to come back and check it out, too.

Scripture Canvas/Initial Door Hanger

Here are some more examples of canvases we have made. As you can see the top hanger has a Scripture verse and could be used on your wall, and the bottom one is an initial door hanger. Of course, the bottom one could be used as a wall hanging, as well. We posted two shots of the top canvas so you can see the detail of the flowers and the script a little bit better.

R & S Door Hangers

Here are two more door hangers that we have just made. We also just finished a couple of baby canvases - we offer those as well. I will be posting photos of those soon, so be sure to check back with us!

This canvas was created as a present for Angie's sister Phyllis. We would love to create one for you! These can be made in any size or color.

Park Place Pizzazz

This is the first posting of our business, Silly Me! Silly Me! is the brainchild of my friend, Angie, and me. We love to decorate and come up with new ideas (and borrow a few from people we admire) so we decided to start our own business. The door hanger above is one we made for Park Place Salon in Tupelo. Lori, you were our very first customer! Above you will find several photos of door hangers that we have just completed, and a couple of canvases.
